This special event was attended by Telford & Wrekin Mayor Councillor Raj Mehta, Katie Foster from Alzheimer’s Research, talented members of the Randlay Primary School choir and people from the local and wider community.

Welcome to The Maples

In a special event to celebrate the opening of The Maples – our new luxury, 70-bed care home – we were delighted to welcome the then Mayor of Telford & Wrekin, Councillor Raj Mehta, to officially do the honours and cut the ribbon. Mayor Mehta was joined by his colleague Councillor Richard Overton, Telford & Wrekin Council’s Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Homes & Enforcement.

Richard said: “We’re delighted that The Maples has opened. Projects like this are all part of our commitment to provide more specialist and supported accommodation for our older residents, which allows them to retain their independence.

“Residents in Randlay and the wider community should be extremely proud of this fantastic new facility.”

Adam from Zephyr X added:

“Thank you to everyone who came to see The Maples officially open, ready to welcome people to their new home. We are honoured to hand over the keys to Bracebridge Care, and the security, love and exemplary care they’re renowned for.”
